Data analysis in healthcare

In the scientific world, it is crucial that healthcare data are collected, analysed and interpreted with high expertise and precision. Eurostat (European Statistical Office) is a Directorate-General of the European Commission with a task to collect and analyse large amounts of data in many fields including healthcare from EU Member States. Despite the publication of a series of macrodata on their websites and the small number of available publications compared to the size of the database there is a lack of (i) in-depth scientific analysis and (ii) assessment and interpretation of the data. We want to discuss how healthcare data should and could be processed in the most efficient way possible to facilitate the translation of scientific results for community benefits.
